Job Description

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales of our premium, sustainably-produced Peruvian alpaca apparel, home decor items, our best selling plush toys and Peruvian wellness products, as well as maintaining an inviting store environment. Your primary duties will include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly, knowledgeable manner, highlighting the unique qualities, ethical Peruvian origins, and Andean and Amazonian community support of our products
  • Demonstrating the features, benefits, and sustainability credentials of our Peruvian alpaca apparel, accessories, and home decor to help customers find the perfect items
  • Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Restocking shelves and maintaining neat, visually appealing displays
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve sales goals and targets
  • Showing ability to be proactive and working well as a team
  • Staying up-to-date on new products and promotions
  • Performing opening/closing procedures and light cleaning as needed throughout the day

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in retail sales or customer service
  • Passion for high-quality, environmentally-conscious and wellness products from Peru
  • Excellent communication, self-awareness and interpersonal skills to educate customers
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Self-motivated, responsible and result-oriented
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and payments
