Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to build upon and lead our existing sales team, develop strategic initiatives and drive revenue growth in the wine distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets and expand market presence.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize performance and achieve sales goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the wine distribution sector.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, logistics, and product teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to senior management.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales management, a deep understanding of the wine industry, and a passion for building relationships with clients.
A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of navigating the complexities of the Hong Kong market. They should possess strong analytical skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the wine or beverage industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the Hong Kong wine market and distribution channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus.
